The quality of 0% APR balance transfer offers in September remains strong. Most major credit card companies have help 0% interest rate periods at exceptionally long lengths and getting a 0% balance transfer for 15 or 18 months is still within reach for most consumers with good credit.
Citibank continues to offer the longest balance transfer offer, a 0% APR for 18 months with the Citi Platinum Select Card. This offer, which also carries a 0% interest rate on purchase for 12 months, is a full 3 months longer than the next closest offer and 6 months longer than the best offers from many credit card companies.
The Citi Platinum Select Card does carry a 5% balance transfer fee.

Taking a pause on the exit path
As expected the ECB kept all its key interest rates unchanged. The ECB also decided that it will conduct its main refinancing operations (MROs) and its special-term refinancing operations with a maturity of one maintenance period as fixed-rate tender procedures with full allotment until at least the end of the twelfth maintenance period on 18 January 2011.
In addition the ECB will provide three new three-month long-term refinancing operations (LTRO) with full allotment at a fixed rate corresponding to the average rate of the MROs over the life of the respective LTRO. Well, the vacation is over.
We came back to the city on Saturday. On Sunday, cars rolled in all day long – piled with bicycles, beach towels, and all the paraphernalia of summer.
Walking to work, we saw a mother on a bicycle with her daughter behind her. The little girl was probably about 3 years old, still sucking her thumb. The mother had come to a stop in front of a nursery.
We read the whole story in the little girl’s face. She looked as though she was about to cry. Big eyes rolled up towards her mother…still sucking her thumb. Her mother reassuring it.
She had spent the vacation with her family. But now it was time for her mother to go back to work…and the little girl to go back to the nursery.

Landlords Insurance Overview
